  Sometimes you are at the right place at the right time. Who would know that right when you wanted an Essence 5-string custom bass that hanging in our showroom would be your perfect match? The only wait you'll have is for the UPS truck to show up at your door. This is one special bass - with a sweet Coco Bolo top that's been bookmatched to center and conceals the Maple and Vermilion neck from the front view. For another little touch o'custom, we've used a Coco Bolo fingerboard with both red and amber side LEDs. Our comfort taper neck is just that: comfortable! Narrow at the nut, just 1.875 inches and spreading out to a hare under 3 inches at the 24th fret makes it easy for slap style playing. Coco Bolo top sounds as rich and complex as it looks. Great supportive low frequency response with crystalline highs, almost piano-like. It's the sound you know from Alembic, with all the clarity and noise-free operation you expect. Like all Alembics, this Essence is 100% made in the USA in our own factory. That means everything, from the woodworking, finishing, pickups, electronics and even the brass hardware is made in-house.
