  You like it simple? You got it! This nice little Essence bass with an outstanding Walnut top doesn't get too fancy aside from the wood upgrade and the Mother of Pearl oval inlays on the fingerboard. What it does do is bring that clean clear Alembic sound to you with an easy to use electronics package. Essence electronics feature volume, pan, and low-pass filter controls. The filter is adjustable from about 350Hz-6KHz and you simply tune it to the highest frequency you want included in your sound, leaving the all-important lows untouched. The Walnut top contributes a great fast attack with some upper end punch. Even though it's a fairly dense wood, at less than nine and a half pounds, this "little Essence" packs a big Alembic sound.
