  The Essence 5 is a workhorse. Its compact size is misleading... this bass has a big sound. The Quilted Maple top and Mahogany body combine to create a tone that is bright but not brittle, with plenty of low end support. The sound is versatile and suitable for a wide range of music. And the look! Our Oceanburst finish starts with a sheer green the blends to Carribean blue. When we paint it over Quilted Maple, it looks like ocean waves. The back of the body, neck, and peghead all carry the burst pattern.
