The Standard Point body shape is an Alembic classic. It's on the larger side, and the perfect place to present an amazing wood like Amboyna Burl. This one has included some of the lighter color sapwood and the look is simply striking. But the looks get your attention, the tone and ease of play is where you wind up falling in love.
One of the few medium scale Alembic basses available new from a dealer, the 32" scale is extremely comfortable to play, with a familiar left hand reach due to the body design and bridge placement. The neck has a shallow-C contour where we incorporate the fingerboard with the neck carving (you can see the fingerboard from the back!) which makes the satin neck feel even smoother.
Add a few more awesome custom options like continuous wood backplates, ruthenium plated hardware, abalone inlays, bevel carving on front and back of peghead, side LEDs in red with amber at 12th and 24th frets, and a tummy contour and you're looking at a bass you can get TODAY, and have for the rest of your life, until you pass it on to your children.
